I must admit that I got the title of this post from an audio book I just finished listening to; The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery just because the book was so beautifully written and read by Barbara Rosenblat and Cassandra Morris. The readers of this amazing novel took me to France and the world of the bourgeoisie.
Everything about this experience was immaculate and I'm always inspired by experiencing this excellence. Someone poured her soul into this gift to the world, and it shows. That's what I want to give, a gift of myself poured out into the world and a gift of excellence which only means that I love what I do and I live what I give and follow my passion and share it with you.
Don't you love it when you see somebody perform excellently? I remember being part of Carol's step class. Her class was always packed and you had to get there early if you wanted a good spot. Every class was a transcendent experience and always inspired me to be a better group fitness instructor and also that I could enjoy it like Carol obviously did. Yes, she was a great instructor, but more than that, it was her utmost alignment and focus on her job, and her joy in delivering it was contagious and uplifted us all. She was able, through her excellence, transform a rag tag group of women, into a synchronized stepping army. Powerful!
